ServiceTitan is excellent software. It is also built for the whole field-service world. Where ServiceTitan overcomplicates things for an electrical shop

Implementation. ServiceTitan onboarding takes weeks because the platform has to be configured around your specific service-line mix. If you only do electrical, the configuration step is mostly unwinding assumptions the product made about HVAC and plumbing.

User interface. Generalist field-service software has to surface features that are irrelevant to a pure electrical shop. Your dispatcher scrolls past HVAC seasonal-tuneup workflows to get to the panel-upgrade workflow.

Pricing. ServiceTitan is priced for large multi-line operators with 20+ techs. A 5-truck electrical shop can run the platform, but you are paying for the size, not the fit.

None of this is a knock on ServiceTitan. The product is excellent for what it was built for. It was not built for a 5-truck electrical shop.

When ServiceTitan is the right choice (and FieldCommand is not)

If any of the following describes your shop, stay with ServiceTitan or evaluate it seriously:

  • You run multiple service lines under the same roof (electrical plus HVAC plus plumbing)
  • You operate above 25 trucks with a dedicated operations team
  • You need the membership-program and recurring-service features that come with HVAC operations
  • You have a dedicated implementation team that can absorb a multi-week onboarding

Can I migrate my ServiceTitan data into FieldCommand?

Yes. We help you export customers, jobs, and invoices from ServiceTitan and import them into FieldCommand during onboarding. Most shops are running the new system within a week.

Will my bookkeeper need to learn a new system?

No. The books still live in QuickBooks Online. FieldCommand syncs with QuickBooks automatically.
